Dave Rave with Kate Schrock and Todd the Rocket 3.27.10

An acclaimed Canadian punk rock legend, Dave (Rave) DesRoches has forged a long and diverse musical career spanning nearly 4 decades. From his early days of Daniel Lanois’ first production project as member of The Shakers, to frontman of punk pop band Teenage Head, to the NYC antifolk scene, to jazz projects with Mark McCarran, to collaborations with artists such as Kate Schrock, Dave Rave has always brought with him a brilliant sense of song and delivery. A story teller, painter of musical imagery with an infectious spirit, Rave has been called a one-man-broke-down-soul-revival master. His live performances need to be seen to be believed.

Kate Schrock is a long-time Portland local independent songstress who has toured and written with Rave extensively and internationally throughout their 2 decade-long friendship. Rave produced Schrock’s 2003 release, ‘Indiana’ and helped to pen ‘Carolina Hurricane’ with Schrock in the backroom of a piano bar in the midst of the 2001 NYC blackout. They will be accompanied by… yours truly.

This is going to be a killer night of music! I hope you can join us for this one…
